Hurricane Sandy kept many people away from the open mics of Toronto last night. The TTC streetcars didn't seem to be making it through downtown so I was left to walk home from Cheap Laughs Monday at PJ O'Brien's. What I saw was the absolute carnage wrought by Hurricane Sandy on Toronto. I'm surprised the army was not called in.Umbrellas were the primary victims. But so too were entire bags of dog kibble, juice drinks, and apparently, Harry Potter. Hope everyone's umbrella makes it through the week, and you get your power back soon. PS the Harry Potter broom doesn't work anymore.    |
